Reissue of classic Scottish ambient trippy techno banger ‘Mindweeds’, originally released in 1993 on the Pure-affiliated T&B Vinyl label run by Keith McIvor (JD Twitch) and Andy Watson (Brainstorm). Most wanted nowdays.

State of Flux were Roger Elliott and Dave Clark (aka Sparky / Kübler-Ross). They first met at Glasgow’s Strathclyde University in 1990, Dave was fully pubescent and already had a synth and drum machine, while Roger – a late developer – bought “another cheap synth, a Commodore Amiga for sequencing and a tiny mixer with no EQ”. For two long years they concentrated hard on “churning out unlistenable pish”, admittedly clueless about what they were trying to do.
