Third pin recordings is proud to present its first release the “During EP” the debut from GROUND—a London-based collective operating in the lineage of sound system culture, where bass, space, and voice converge to create music with weight and purpose. 

Rooted in a tradition that runs from sound system to studio, GROUND brings together artists shaped by decades of British musical innovation—spanning drum & bass, electronic production, live performance, and experimental composition.

Based in the East London studio of Relax & Enjoy there are echoes here of legends like Massive Attack and Soul II Soul: sharing a fluid, collaborative identity where the music speaks for the unified whole.

At its core, GROUND balances rhythm with reflection. Deep, percussive foundations, textural production; poetic voices moving between spoken wordand song. It is music that asks big questions about life, society and culture, concerned as much with feeling as with thought.
