Blay steps back into the light with a full four-track EP, pushing further into the space where Afro-centric jazz and deep house collide, weaving synth-heavy production with organic rhythms and live instrumentation.

‘Wave Formations’ holds you captive, taking you on a nine-minute spiritual journey across the cosmos.

Its counterpart, ‘Rhythm of Love’, is equally dreamy — a reverb-soaked vocal track with live-band energy that shape-shifts around its steady, forward-pushing rhythm before unwinding into a meandering, melancholic piano outro.

On the flip side, ‘New Teacher’ is an invitation to dance — call-and-response synth phrases ride over driving percussive polyrhythms. What starts off simple and stripped-down transforms into a full-on celebration: a boisterous rush of sonic Afrofuturism reaching for the sun.

The EP closes with the festive and playful ‘Faith in Us’. This highlife- and Afro-funk-inspired cut reimagines the feeling of band members feeding off one another, switching between recognisable motifs and energetic solos, each pushing the other further into the light.
