Soul Damn Funky crew return to storied NYC imprint Bassline Records with a second selection of "New York classics". Long-serving London DJ Marcia Carr curates side A, offering up the electric-piano rich (and effortlessly soulful) liquid house fluidity of Soul Magic and Ebony Soul's 'Get Your Thing' (as remixed by Stacy Kidd) and Tommy Musto and Victor Simonelli's classic 1993 garage-house spin of Total Eclipse's 'Come Together'). Russell Ruckman takes over on the flip, selecting two more Simonelli classics (Groove Committee's lesser-celebrated 'I Wanna Hold You' and he and Musto's smooth, soulful and shuffling take on Federal Hill's 'There's Got To Be a Way').
