Black Rock's stomping 'Hey Roots' and Ahzz's coveted 'New York's Movin'' are in his sights here and the former gets a methodical edit built around sparse vocals and a hypnotic, Bohannon-esque groove.
The flip strips 'New York's Movin'' down to its instrumental core before layering handclaps, tambourine, guitar and camp synth strings into a real hard hitter that comes complete with a sweet breakdown.
