”JT & Lance DeSardi started working at Beatnonstop in the heart of Hollywood when they moved from Chicago to LA - set up bedroom studios. They worked on their own projects as well as collaborating on other projects with each other under different aliases. “Make you High” came out of JT borrowing one of my Roland 303’s for the weekend and came back to the shop Monday with this absolute Barn BUSTER!

The looping background noise coupled with the rhythmic drums draw you in and you’re suddenly locked with a stomping kick drum and then a low throbbing 303 Bassline. Some staccato stabs soon follow and then the hooky vocal keeps you fixated before another 303 line creeps in and sets you up for heavy heavy B-line. What we used to call a “Chuggy Dearth Stomper” just causing all kinds of rukus on the Dancefloor!

The Flipside see’s the dub get worked out in a slightly different format before handing off to the cursive side to side groove of “Time to Have Fun.” Samples of local astrologist Gahl Sasson beckoning loop & lull you into a trance while breathy female vocals wander in & out before a fat chuggy B-line drops and then a groovy 303 Acid line lays across the top like whipped cream on top of a Trifle. Proper after-hours material in this never-released track”.
