Hidden in the vaults there was one final track from theBlack Acid Soul recording session at Sunset Sound, LA thatnever saw the light of day.
Foundation Music is now very happy to be telling this lastpiece of the story by putting out ‘Did Somebody Make A FoolOutta You’, a favorite of A&R and label owner Ross Allenthat didn’t fit the flow of the album, as a limited editionheavyweight coke bottle green vinyl 7” for RSD 2022. (Bitexpensive but hey..collectors copy, black ones willprobably come)
Backed with a standout from the LP, the Deep South,Reuben Bell penned ‘It’s Not That Easy’, you have two cutsthat reveal a deeper, soulier, southern side of LadyBlackbird, beautifully showcasing her voice, her band andthe stripped production that allows her to shine unfetteredin the glory of her soul and those songs.
